Taking its name from the First Nations term meaning Chief or Elder, Tyee is fittingly focused on meeting the needs of seniors in the Bayview Place neighbourhood and the Victoria West community.

Current Use

Currently, the Bayview Place head offices are situated in the buildings perched along the cliffs that line the pathway on the E&N Rail Corridor. As development continues throughout our districts, this location allows us to maintain involvement and manage this project on-site.

Future Plans

When the timing is right, and as our on-site needs become less crucial, we will continue the development of Bayview Place into Tyee District, remodelling these buildings back to their original purpose. Until then, use of the pathways, parks, and open spaces are free to exploration and use.

The Tyee Distrist accommodates a dedicated seniors' housing facility, providing independent living and assisted living units for an aging population along with the necessary support services and amenities. Situated amongst a pedestrian-oriented streetscape and a manicured walkway, Tyee provides amenity, attraction, and connectivity to its residents.
